I've just finally jumped on the benchmarking bandwagon. I'm downloading 3DMark 03 right now, but in the mean time I've run 01 SE and my scores seemed mildly disappointing (~17k before I OC'd my 6800GT)
Do the settings have anything to do with things? Should I crank them all up to the heavens or leave them at stock?
that souns like a score with mipmaps and textures all the way up. go to vid card 3d options and turn them down. also, make sure AA and AF and V-sync are diabled.
edit (didnt read the post above me close enough)

Generally when you benchmark for the purpose of bragging rights, you'll do it with everything maxed out. Gpu, cpu and fsb.
