Hey everyone. Just built my first computer, and I want wireless-B internet for it. Well my computer downstairs (the one im using now) is using wireless-b from the adapter in the comp to the router. It works fine. I install and download all the stuff for my wireless-B adapter in my new computer....no go. For some reason it wont give me the IP address and server junk. Im using a Linksys router and wireless-b PCI card. I installed the stuff for the Cable Modem. I installed the stuff even for the router. Still no go. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? PS Im using Windows XP Pro SP1.

hmm thats weird... try using the adapter that works in the new comp and test it. if it works then the b adapter is faulty. i dont see that theres any connection problems.... is your modem blinking the light 'ready'?

Make sure your TCP/IP connection and WEP settings are all correct. And also make sure you have a good enough signal.
