if you are on an extremely tight budget it might be ok... but i know nothing of the manufacturer. you have to think though this card will start choking on new games pretty soon. i'd personally wait and save as much cash as you could; the sacrifice would be worth it.

Try FX5200 256mb if you're in tight budget..I've heard some good things about the FX5200 256 mb playing doom3 very well on high quaility.

tight budget get a 8500le or ti4200, don't buy crippled cards like 9600's 5200's MX's 9200's etc.

well the best thing to help us help you is to tell us how are you going to use your video card...

Right now im regrettably on a GForce 3 Ti 500. It is nearing the end of its ability. Im going to upgrade to a 9800Pro r360 in the next few weeks and flash it to Xt speeds. I would suggest you do the same, as anything better is well into the 300's.

Sapphire 9000-Pro 64mb 128bit at Allstarshop for just $45 shipped.
It's a DX8 card that will get more FPS than any 64bit card in DX9 games.
Choose it ahead of a 9600se.
But be real ... don't expect it to perform miracles.

Well guys...if he is looking at a 64 dollar card, he's probably on a budget. I get tired of people saying just get a 9800pro or buy some 300 dollar card because it is the best. Sure a 9800pro is good for the price but some people dont have 150-200 to spend on one. But I also agree that if you want something to play the newest games out like Doom III and HL 2, that you WILL need to spend some money whether you like it or not. Even a 9500 or something will play it and will do it alright. Just some people NEED the quality with 1600x1200 more than others. End of rant.

It is a good price, and yeah the biggest drawback is it being 64bit. You might want to just wait around for another deal to hit the refurbs section. I snagged a Powercolor 9600pro 128mb/128bit for $81 the other day - works great too.
