ok ok ok... i wana overclock this bitch!

but, i know i came to the correct place. herez what i got

amd 1.2 266fsb
asus a7vkt133 200fsb
1024 mb ram:eek:

i "will" have 3 extra fans added and one of them is a huge 120mm one and the fourth is going to be one of those exhaust fans that goes in the scsi ports.

now, i know u gota take a pencil and mark together the little things on the l1 and l2 on the processor its self.. but my question is

what else do i do, to get my fsb higher and the mhz higer, and is this adaquate cooling!
what are some of your experiences with doing this sort of thing!;)

Welcome to the forums if nobody has done so. What heatsink do you have and what stepping is it? Like AXIA-AVIA or whatever?

the heat sink and the heatsink fan are the same ones that came with the processor... i have heard some good things bout the super orb, but, i dont know... cuz like none of you guys have this. is this not a good buy..what kind of heatsink should i also get to make this overclocking experience better
:)

Oh my, where have you heard good things about the Orb? NOT HERE!! We don't use it cause we like cool CPU's, not hot ones. Stay away from these heatsinks at all costs. I would not recommend overclocling with the stock heatsink/fan. I would recommend the Vantec FCE-62540D as a good 1st time heatsink, it costs about $25 shipped and it was good enough for my baby up to 1.466 with low temps. If you have more money avaiable go for the big Swifty with a good 80mm fan.
