I need to install a new power button that I just bought. My previous one's top broke off and the spring under the button disappeared, so I have been booting up my system using a screwdriver to connect the front panel pins at the bottom of the motherboard.
The power button itself has an LED behind it, and on the bottom it has a + and - connection as well as two other connections that look the same.
I have tried using the wires from my old power button which already had a jumper connector at the end of the wires. I tried connecting the + and - ends to the wires and pluggin that into the motherboard pins, but it wouldn't work. I tried reversing the plug, and then changing from the inner to the outer pins, but no luck.
How do I hook this thing up?
