Is the Smartwo a scanner or a printer?

Scitex SmarTwo is a High-end transparency scanner, just a (small) step below a top of the range drumscanner. it scans trannies and negs up to 6x7cm at 2520 dpi, 42bits CMYK.
Scsi interface.

I know that doesn't sound too impressive, but the sheer quality will nock you off your feet :-))

The problem is, I only have Mac drivers for the thing...and no Mac :-(

I'm not even sure if PC drivers exist....

Well, my search for drivers amounted to absolutely nothing regarding a PC, although I did find drivers for a Mac (most driver sites don't have Scitex drivers of any sort). Scitex's site is down right now, it's under construction...I would guess that this would be the place to go for your scanner drivers...have you tried emailing or phoning them?

Sure did contact Scitex..

They refuse to answer any questions unless you become a 'registered' scitex user, and that costs about $ 150 in administrative charges alone, even before you get to ask any questions, which they will also charge you for, I presume...

I guess if you want to play with the big boys, you have to pay the big bucks.. (apparently the scanner had a retail price of around $ 75,000.......)

I ran across your post on the Scitex Smartwo scanner. I've been looking at one but there is NO SOFTWARE. Would you be able to e-mail a copy of the software you have. Mac or Windows. It doesn't matter although Mac would be preferable at this point. I would greatly appreciate it
