View Full Version : Cpu Hsf On 4200ti Advice Plz!!

Hi i have a PALIT 4200TI not the greatest of makes my score in 3D MARK 01SE is around 11000 ISH.

The memory on the card is HYNIX 318A HY5DV281622DT-5.

Im planning a mod of replacing the stock HSF with a CPU HSF that i have.
I have the drills for the Heat sink.
I need advice on mounting this sink its a AKASA 824CU sink

i would position the hs on the card and temporarily hold it in place with hot glue or tape. then i would insert the card into theagp slot and adjust the hs so it will fit comfortably. next i would mark the spot where the mounting holes are on the hs and then remove the hs and drill the holes. then remount the hs on the card using small bolts. thats not too bad.
