Just looked at Stanford's project summary and saw 2 new Big Packet work units. Can't wait to try one out!
p1305 634 points
p1306 320 points
Anyone get one of these yet?

Is there a way to choose which ones you get? I have BP on, and I keep getting the 1124s OVER and OVER and OVER!

I believe those are only available if you enable that big packets thing with version 5. I just got a p582 which is the biggest of non-bigpacket WU's and it's at like 35 minutes a frame for 100 frames. Yike. It's worth 277 points.

i keep getting these 80 pointers, but they give me about 1900ppw, so no complaints :D

All the big packets are 130x_.... You must have the -advmethods flag set in the registry in addition to bigpackets=yes in client.cfg to get big packets.

I've done 1 of the p1305 proteins while running beta and it processed in about 100 hours on a HT P4 running 2 clients. It's points/hr ratio was right in line with the rest of the p13xx series but takes too long to do IMO, with too much chance for something to happen where you lose the wu when 90% complete. I don't think you will see any more of these come out because it was taking too long for Stanford to get results on the project. I think the 320 point p1306 will be about the biggest of these you will see in the future.

Even if it dies on your machine, you get the percentage finished x total points. So if you lost that 634 @ 90 frames you'll get 570 points for your effort. They realize it isn't aways the host's fault for failures. Sometimes the beta model just won't work as planned so you get partial credit. I lost a few and got points anyway.
