Greetings, i am trying to overclock my new duron 900 on a fic az11e MB.
the MB came with a program called clockometer which lets you raise the FSB in windows and seems to work great up to 105 FSB, any higher and the system locks up and i have to clear the cmos to get it to boot.
i am just hoping to get the FSB to 110 or so nothing huge, any ideas ?
thanks in advance for any help.

first I need to know a little bit about you're system... what are you're idle and load temps? what kind of cooling do you have? what is you're Vcore? (you might have to up the Vcore a bit to get it to run with a higher FSB, but you need good cooling to up the Vcore... thats allso why I need you're current temps. ;) ).
Allso... as you probably know the board you are running ain't the best OCer in the world.

my idle temp is 30C and after folding for an hour or so it hits about 39C. this is with it running at 105x9.
i have not raised the voltage from the 1.63v default.
i forget the model but my heatsink/fan is a cooler master that is rated for up to a 1.7 athlon/duron. it appears to have a fan about the size of the stock one but the heatsink is 2 times the size. by the way i would swear the stock one from amd is a cooler master as well hehe
yes i realize the board is not anything great but i am hoping to get atleast 1 gig out of this and ill be a happy camper hehe
i cannot complain either way, the MB and CPU cost me under a 100 bucks with tax....
If I'm not mistaken the AZ11E uses the original VIA KT133 chipset. That chipset is generally limited to a FSB in the 107/110MHz range. This chipset has been upgraded to the KT133A with the capability to reach 150+FSB.
There is a modification out there for the original AZ11 but I don't know if it will apply to the AZ11E. If it does work however, you'll still be hampered by the KT133 chipset FSB limitations. You can find an article on the board mod here:

Give it a look and see if it would be worth it to you, but with the fast paced technological advancements you can now get a much better motherboard with one of the later chipsets and expect to see the FSB to 150MHz and beyond for not much of an investment.
Good Luck!

It's a waste of time trying to overclock the FIC board anyhow as it is generally very unstable in deliveing power.
Time for a change, me thinks you should be think DDR and good manufacturer like ABit, ASUS or EPoX
