the difference isn't in the amount of memory, it's in the core. most 32mb cards are gf2 mx200s, and most 64mb ones are gf2 mx400s.

the difference between the mx200 and mx400 is night and day!! the mx200 has half the memory bandwidth of the mx400, and when it comes to games, that's where the bottleneck is.

whatever you, don't buy an mx200!! they really are a waste of money. pay the little extra and get an mx400, pref. one with nice low ns memory.

good luck!

Sorry proze, I disagree.

this is two issues. I've seen 64mb MX200 and MX400. You can get both. Here's some benches of 15 cards. I haven't put it into an article yet, so you can download the excel file.

I have the MX 400 64mb card in the kids PC ans the best O/C I can get, that is stable 200/210.

lol!! a 64mb mx200!!! that's quite funny! :D :D

k.. original poster: assuming you're on about 32mb and 64mb versions of the same card... not a clue. read spodes benchies.

assuming that you're on about the mx200 and mx400, read my post above and spode's benchies.

actually, read spode's benchies either way! ;)

my suggestion is dont buy either one of those cards they are totaly nutered. Get a gf2 gts or pro. If you dont have the money wait it will be worth it. Why by crap soon and then own crap when you can wait and own somthing good.

Hello and welcome to the forums,

I would not purchase the Ge Force 200mx 32 card . It is simply old technology. I have the geforce 2 400 mx 64 and for the money I am very happy with it. It is very overclockable via the Geforce utility @ http://www.geforcetweak.com The card gives very respectable 3D mark scores. Keep in mind if your going to OC this card cooling is critical ! You will need to cool the chip via a fan or a waterblock.
