What to get: 2GB of Kingston PC3200/400Mhz or 1GB of DDR2 PC4200/533Mhz ??

For this rig:

CPU: Athlon 64 3800+
MB: Asus AV8 Deluxe
HD: 2 RAPTORS 74Gb 10000 RPM
Video: Geforce 6800 Ultra

So, 1GB of DDR2 PC4200 533Mhz or 2GB of PC3200/400Mhz ??

Does that board even accept DDR2? They are different. I would say go for the 2GB PC3200 if you dont plan to OC much.

hre's the MB http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket939/a8v-d/overview.htm

it says: Dual-channel DDR400/333
does it mean it wont accept DDR2 PC 4200 ?

Nope, DDR2 is completely different. It will only take regular DDR sticks.
