Hey folks, I'm looking for something to rename some files for me.

Basically, I want it to be a smart database program. Like use the CDDB or something to correctly identify and rename files for me.

Here's the scenerio: I have way too many mp3s, some of which have names like BEST(43049583)SONG____-OF/THE&YEAR.mp3 (this is an exaduration). I want to be really lazy and have a program check out the CDDB and rename this file to something like Metallica - Master Of Puppets.mp3 and correctly set it's tags.

Sounds like a nifty program all right! Now, I just need to find it.

Either the tags or the total exact length of a CD ARE how cddb finds the stuff, sorry pal you're just going to have to get an id3 tag editor or a nice player/jukebox program (I reccommend Itunes) to go in and do it. Think about it, if I have 6 MP3s that's 3:25 how is it supposed to find out what the hell it is?
