i have a new duron 900 running on a az11e mb and am just getting around to messing with the bios, under the memory options it lists bank interleave, can someone explain what this does please ?
thanks, Xan
Just set it to 4-way. Much more performance over 2-way.
its getting the memory to access the banks sequentially instead of
sequentially greatly increasing your memories bandwidth.
You might want to look over at viahardware.com because they have a pretty good write up on it and the tools you need to enable it on some VIA chipsets.
