Encoding and Streaming AAC

I'm running MAX/MSP music software that is generating 5.1 sound and I have the option of outputting that sound into an 16 channel audio device. I want a program that can take a audio device as input, encode AAC on the fly and be able to stream it on the fly as well. Of course, if separate programs do this, it's fine as well. Does anyone know of such a program or can point me towards the right website/forum to ask?
