does anyone know where the detonator3 6.50 can be found in the self-installer version - just like the nvidia used to distribute?

i think i noticed some img quality improvement from the 6.50 to the 12.41, despite the performance loss on my system; is that a regular difference?

if i cant find the self-installer version the way i should go to install it is replacing the video adapter from into the dislpay settings, right? just as its usual with most of the devices on w98se?

thanks for helping.

The easiest way that I've found to install new drivers is to use a program called Detonator-Destroyer. It takes the hassle out of removing left-over files manually, that the Nvidia uninstaller (in Add/Remove Programs) didn't remove. Here's a link to the program...the instructions for uninstalling the old drivers and installing the new ones are included on this page.

Also, being that you're using a Geforce2 MX...IMO the best drivers available are the 12.90 reference drivers (non-WQHL).

i agree.......i personally think that the 12.90 drivers are the best for geforce2 gts and under cards

even on a DirectX 7 system?

the only game i use to play demands the version 7 then ill keep it. just thought the det3 6.50 was the most reasonable choice..
