View Full Version : Fan Sound
Is there some way that I can hear how loud 70dBa or how loud certain fans are? Im buying a quiet HSF and want to make sure each fan is quiet enough to my likeling before I buy it online. THanks all

Beancrock (http://sidewindercomputers.com/tecar.html). It doesn't have every fan. but it'll give you a general idea. And a 70dba fan will probably sound like standing by lawn mower :p

if you are going for quite you should line your case with sound deading carpet, like the stuff you can buy at a car audio store
and for the fans, you should look for something around 30dBa

you can never judge the high nise fans till you hear them yourself, my delta38 is quite compared to my delta screamer, my advie, buy a delta, if you can not put up with it even with it in yur carse and the case under a desk of around a corner, get a new one

Your Delta 38 is quite compared to your Delta? The Delta is a good fan, though. It is loud, but there are many methods to quite them down. And if you still don't like it, you can send it to me :D

Nobody can "survive" with a 70dbA fan! Unless using a headset! 70db is loud!! As already mentioned; lawn movers or a scruffy mix-master may sound like it! Stay away......

Yeah... the only reason you could ever get away with someting that loud in your computer is if you had it set up in it's own little room, and you never go in that room. But that isn't the case for most of our comps.

It's better off getting something under 40dba. A delta might be too much but it has great performance same as the new YS tech fans. Remember that the sound is gonna be that for a lot time.
