I have my Duron 750 OCed to 7x133 = 933mhz Voltage set at 1.80v. I am stable while not under load but when I run 3dmark I get complete system lock ups. I could up the voltage a bit more on the CPU im just worried that my temps are going to get too high.

Whats the max temp I want my Durn to run at?

what are your temps right now?
the best thing for durons is not to go over 50c full load
you lucky ******* my 750 doesnt get any higher then 112*7.5 :(

Well my old Duron ran perfectly stable at 53C, but that was a little to hot. Stay below 50C and you will be fine.

Under 50 is usually good. Nice to see you back in the forums!

I was idle around 47. I turned up the voltage a bit more and my idle went up to 49-51c. I was still getting lockups so I guess the heat was just too much.

I never really spent much time prepping the heat sink so maybe if I give it some TLC I will be able to get the idle temps to drop a bit more.

I dropped the CPU back to 750 and ran 3dmark. No lockups so again I probably just need to give my PAL 6035 a bit of a polish.

Well, if there's any kind of question, I've always been told that the higher you overclock, the lower your temps need to be to be stable. For example your Duron may be perfectly stable at 48 C when OC'ed to 850 MHz but at 900 you need to maintain 45 C.....

What HSF are you using? I'm getting better idle and load temps than that with my FOP32-1 and a KT7A-Raid with wz110b bios... (both with my Duron 700@954 and my TBird 1000@1333)

my fop 32 keeps my old duron 750@990@1.85v cool at 45C underload<--this is in a cooler room with ambient temps around 25C
now it keeps my duron 600@600@1.85v cool at 52C underload<--this is in a really hot room with ambient temps around 30C
