Yes I meant BOINC SETI. I didn't mean to leave anyone out, but I've been keeping an eye on this page and see that the three accounts have been neck and neck for the last couple of weeks and thought it would be fun to see who can get to 20K first. Let's wait to hear from Puffy and see if he's up to the challenge. Who ever gets to 20K from our current position first wins. What say you Puffy?

Are you guys ready? What with all this new 4.05 fiasco and stuff we can still have a race right? Looks like Puffy doesn't want in. How about the first account to reach 25000 first wins. The first one to post a snapshot of their account hitting 25K wins the race. How does that sound?

And for the prize, if you guys win I will put one PC to crunch for you guys for one month and if I win you guys do the same for me. The PC I would put to crunch would be a Dell P4 2.0 Ghz. Are you guys game?

I am not currently crunching (haven't updated avatar) and jigpu has no way to download workunits so I don't think we will be racing.

Yeah, I be away at college with no net (except lab access) :( I'm supposed to be getting DSL Friday or Saturday though, so my box should be back up pretty soon. For now though, I've still got two boxes running. A P4 1.8 (parent's) which is doing LHC but can be switched to SETI, and an XP2500 (sister's friend's) which has been dutifully crunching as well.

I'm not at full power, but I'll be there soon enough. Consider me in :)

I wish I could crunch but I need the battery power so I can get through a day of classes without needing to be plugged in all the time... sometimes there's no outlet nearby. Besides this lappy gets toasty just running starcraft. I just don't like the Idea of the life getting sucked outta my lappy at the momment.

The 2.8 should be up as well doing a SETI/LHC mix, but I'm not sure... I haven't been able to VNC to it lately though, so I don't know (I'm hoping just the IP changed).

Update: Just got my net connection back about half an hour ago. BOINC dumped all it's (horribly past deadline) WUs and I'm currently in the process of downloading new ones and the latest SETI client.

It's sooooo good to have net access without needing to take a bus to get to the university... :D

Isn't it amazing how much we let net access affect us. It's like we take it for granted now adays. And if we lose it for a couple days we'll go into withdrawls or something, I know I would.
