Anybody:
In S.S.Sandra, when testing CPU, there´s a line saying Performance Rating 1892. What does it really mean?? Pressing F1 still leaves me in the dark.....

It's just the PR rating. It aproximates what the PR rating of the chip would be if it were a Cyrix CPU . . . . . . .

back in the days of the pentium 1 cryix use to claim that say for example it's 166 was as fast as intels 233 (maybe in integer operations but not in fp) and so to try and attract less knowledgable customers who only go of mhz they used the pentium rating (pr) system.

So, doesn't that mean that it's really comparing your chip to a Pentium Pro? That's what Cyrix's numbers did.

I always thought it meant "you'd have to run a P. Pro this fast to equal the tested chip". I could be wrong.

Hey, lookee there- I got 4 stars now. Wooo!

The PR (Performance Rating) is just what your CPU would be in Mhz if it were an INTEL processor.

Example... I have a 1200Mhz AMD running at 1584Mhz.. In Sandra, I would need a 2100Mhz INTEL CPU to get the same benchmarks... (My PR is about 2100)
