View Full Version : AGP setup in bios help please
i was wondering ig i just leave my agp controls on default or mess with them??
the ones i need healp on are:
AGP driving control
min 0000
max 00ff
and apeture size
4,8,16,32,64(default),128MB
thanks,

Leave driving to default only if you have problems change it.
Agp apeture I get best results when set to 128.

make sure your agp multiplier is set to 4x if your card suports it most bios's have it defaulted to 2x.
theres no point in tweaking the agp aperture size unless you have more than 128mb of ram, for example 3dmark will fail the 64mb agp texturing test even with 128mb of ram and a 128mb aperture as there isn't enough free ram.
In general those settings usually aren't worth wasting time over as the performance differances are so tiny that you may not be able to tell which is beter due to random differances between tests
