Got a msi neo 2 platinum mobo, and 2 sticks of corsair 3200 xms ram, but it's running in single channel mode(according to cpu-z anyway), anyone know why?

Thanks in advance

Yes it's a nforce 3 board, and they are in 1&3

if it's a 64bit board you have I don't believe they have dual mode.... You might want to include a sig with specs so people can help you diagnose your problem.

Amd fx-53
2 sticks of corsair xms 3200(would be 4 if the comp would boot with ram in slots 2&4..)
Msi neo 2 platinum(nforce 3 socket 939 board)

they need be in slots 1&2 or 3&4 on your board. Each color is a channel, so if they are both in green sockets you are in single channel, or both in purple, single channel. you need one in each color.
Stupid manual isn't very clear on that but try it.

Ahh thank you very much I have them both in the purple slots..now to figure how to get my comp to boot with ram in the green slots ;/
