I saw a gateway commercial where they offered a computer with a celeron 950Mhz. I thought they were only up to 900Mhz now. I went to Intels website and saw they released 3 new celerons, 950Mhz, 1Ghz, and 1.1Ghz. I wonder how they OC? If you get the 1.1Ghz to run 133Fsb you'll get over 1.4Ghz.
I've heard of people getting them up to 1.2ghz but 1.4 sounds a bit unlikely, these are the new cDO stepping which has a heat spreader like the tualatin and p4, it's still the same old coppermine just with a heat spreader and maybe slightly better quality with it being made more recentally, the tualatins on the other hand do apear to be extremely overclockable thanks to the 0.13 micron process

I hope Intel will recycle the Tualatin cores to celerons in the future.
I beleive they are doing but they only work on new boards and aren't compatable with coppermine boards.

Well I'm getting a new mobo soon to replace my half broken acorp. I going to make sure my new board is tualatin ready.
but thats where intel looses it's only advantage over amd, if I had to replace a board and cpu I would go for an AHYJA and socket A board over any intel setup, the only reason I would buy an intel processor now is because I can keep my board but with the tualatin that isn't so.
whoa sweet!! I wanna find one of those cely's and give them a try!...Ill post back on my sucess after I put the system 2gether...

Well heres my story, I had a fully working P3 board ready up to 1.4 Ghz. I ordered a P3 933, next day my fan headers broke on my board. I now have to order a new board and out of the blue my sony spressa scsi cd-rw stopped working. So that's at least $200 I have to spend. Damn should have known not to buy a cheap mobo and sony cr*p.
