Personaly I loved FF8, have yet to finish it yet, used to keep crashing at a certain point... think I'll load her up and finish her off ;)
So guys, what was/is your favorite Final Fantasy # ?

Personally, I like Final Fantasy 9 just fine. The first FF game I ever played was 3 (6 . . . whatever). I've loved RPG's ever since. Actually, my all time favorite is Chrono Cross.
While I love all the FF games, my favorite would have to be 7. Still working on 8 and 9.

I don't know why but I could never get into Final Fantasy 8... However my First FInal Fantasy game was FF7... I LOVE THIS GAME... This was my 2nd RPG after SUIKODEN...
The Music was awesome, characters were memorable... Summons were out of this world... THe story was INVOLVING... what can I say I love this game..
Then FF9 .. Im in 3rd CD, and I have to say that This game is as good as FF7, but FF7 is still the KING..

the story lines are stupid but most games are thats not the reason.
i guess i dont like them because i just dont like that kind of game play.
well to each there own, good luck finding something you do like.
and as far as the other comments I have to agree on FF7 that was the first game I played on my computer and I LOVED IT
it a lil hard getting into each game after because they dont link the stories at all, so its like completely differnt each time.. DONT LIKE THAT!

The only FF game I have played is 7 and i loved it!!
Yeah, like I said FF7 was my first true love :)
FF8 comes in as a close second though, mostly because of the improved grafix engine and action sceens.. killer!

Final Fantasy 2 is my favorite - best storyline and the longest of all the FF games, followed by 7, then 9
Yes FF2 was the best for me also.
FF VII for me is the best, story (the one where the flower girl dies where you 'd shout AAARRRGRHHH!!!, sorry i forgot here default name coz mine was my GF's), side-quests, those damn chocobo races, summons, remember the 12 nights!?!?they were the best!!! and a lot more factors, others were only on graphics, nothing much to play with really.
Man I almost forgot about the flower girl getting killed.. (dont remember the name off hand either but know who you are talking bout).. that was the worse part of the game, if you asked me.. after all she went through with the rest of the charactors :(
I remember buying the guild for that game, and the kid there told me not to read ahead or it would ruin the game.. later found out why he told me not to use the flower girl as a main chair :(:(

i personally played almost all FF #.....only didnt try 4 and 6 and 10
i like final fantasy 7 and 8 the most...i never could finish FF7 since my cds were kinda screwed when i was on the second disc....8 i finished but i think the story is not as good as #7...FF9 i kind of liked because of the nice graphics but it doesnt really have a story..and i m on the third cd already....the older FF i dun even remember how they were but it wasnt that bad..although i never beat it
I havnt even looked at FF9 yet.. SAD I know, but such is life, what really turned me off is the anime,kiddie style characters that I saw on the previews.. I was much into the adult interaction and story line with ff7 and ff8.. ff9 is just a completely differnt twrist.. back to the old style I supose?

I have always liked the FF series but have only played on game consoles. I remember playing 1 - 3 on the nintendo and thought at that time was graphically superior to other games back then. Then played the rest of the series up to now FF 9 on the playstation.
I acually played FFVIII before FFVII I'm working on FFIX Love them all I cannot chose between the it would just be too painful hehe :):)

Final Fantasy II American (I don't know which one it is Japanese) is the best Final Fantasy game ever. The whole thing with Cecil converting from a Dark Knight to a Paladin is just so damn cool, and Kain constantly being on your team and then on the bad guys is great. It was also the hardest of the Final Fantasy games in my opinion.
Does anyone else think that Edge's animation when you win a battle looks like he is flipping the enemy the bird? Play it sometime and watch closely, it looks like it to me. :D
Oh BTW don't forget about the final fantasy tactics one!!!! it was also great, except for the graphics but it was really great too, for me it's next to FF VII.

Final Fantasy Tactics! It was great seeing your characters develop (not to mention having a choice in what to do). I played it three time over (one keeping all my buddies from the academy, the second using all the characters that join up, and the other just using animals). I'm still waiting for Final Fantasy Tactics 2!!!
that's if they decide to make one.
plus: Chrono Cross rulzZ!
Final Fantasy 2, followed by 9.
Why? I like the old time themes, and the realistic characters are just a bit too... Real.
Though with Amano back in the saddle, FF10 should rock the streets big time.
