Looks like you got partial credit for it. Maybe it was just one of those odd errors. I personally would only worry if it keeps happening.

I've seen similar error on my friends rig, only it was happening with every wu he got. I downclocked his athlon from 1.8 to 1.6 and so far it finished two wu's without problems.

I believe this means the results were discarded, meaning no partial credit.

wonder why it all of a sudden appeared. been running fine for months until just now..deleting cores and starting over we shall see

I have seen this a few times on the large work units. These will tend to end early and you'll get only a partial credit in that case.

was this on a computer with bigpackets?

Too many frames. Looks like a Tinker unless they started >100 frame BigPackets.

I believe this means the results were discarded, meaning no partial credit.I agree. This could happen at any time but don't count out it just being a bad wu. Like said above don't worry unless it continues to happen.

For the system that was dropped from 1.8 to 1.6 that big a drop may not be necessary. One click up in voltage or two FSB increments down might fix that.

well it isn't the OC all sorts of things have started happening to my main rig....I dunno why or even if this is possible but I broke the system down to bare parts and redid windows. I used only teh lastes drivers from manufatures websites..like ATI drivers instead of Omega, Nvidia Nforce drivers instead of ABIT's

still acted wobbly..so i swapped out parts I din't last time.. like keyboard and IDE cables......folding right now after 2 days of :bang head

so far all is good. if I can get thru a work unit alright Ia m going to add anotehr component back to my system and fold some more..keep adding till all is back in and happy

BTW I went from a wireless keyboard and mouse back to wired and thats when I last saw the instability...this make any sense to anybody?

well that didn't do it.

I decided to feed the cpu more juice. i was reluctant to pump more than 2 volts into my Mobile Barton, but I read that they can handle the same amounts as standard Bartons. have her running on 2.1 volts now and went from 35 load to 41 load. so far I have gotten 2 hours stable folding *crosses fingers*

I am curious as to why i am haveing to pump more juice into this chip over time. i wonder if the gates are going south and i should start saveing up for a replacement chip.
