I just built a system for my buddy, and lately he has been encountering some wierd reboots every once in a while... memory was the first thing that came to mind, since a few computers ago, I was experiencing the same thing.

Anyway, so the memory fails memtest86 within about 16 minutes... it gets about 144errors after just that long. The memory is Mushkin 2x512 kit, they are Blue... dont know much else about them.

He proceeded to throw away the little plastic cover that they came in :bang head so I am wondering if newegg would still accept the RMA. Thanks for any input.

they should...

I hope. I was thinking about just going ahead and sending the modules wrapped in bubble wrap, and hope they wouldn't care... I mean it's just a piece of plastic that came with it, no manual or anything.

I guess I will go ahead and give it a shot, the worse that could happen is them send it back to me, and then he would be crap out of luck, bc mushkin insists that products be in their original container in order for them to be serviced... kinda lame :-/
