sorry but the first time i osted this i adressed it to william drake, and edit wont show up on the first page :(..

whoooh...Walter read this:)
if any of you read my long rant about my video card i have good news, i did infact get sent a gf2pro with 5ns ram, and a gf2gtscore....i was scared when my box came in saying it was a gts with a gts manual and gtsdrivers(when i installed them all my games said i had a gts?) now after checking the memory clock i am happy to report that it is 400 then i updated drivers (to 12.41) and everything is right again....the only thing im sad about is 2D performance...i shouldve gotten a radeon ive just gotten too used to my rage fury pro, everything looks so fuzzy unless im playing a game.....oh well ill only have to live with it for what 2 years?

ive got 2700 3d Marks and 61fps(Unreal Toruney) and never goes below 90fps(QuakeIII) with everything maxed out...i havent started tweaking yet...first ill have to upgrade the cooling that came with the card (it gets hotter than my dads athlon notebook!!!)...for real i could scald myself with my vid card!!! a geforce 2 compared to an ATI is like comparing athlon to PIV, sure one is faster but you pay for it in temps...oh and how do i monitor temps if my card has the utilities (none came with the driver i got from powercolor website)

Wega!

Hi, and thanks for letting me know how it went!

I'm glad you got 5ns RAM's, I'm sure they will come in handy when you start to overclock :)
I have never used other than the MX, so I haven't seen how the ATI's perform in 2D, but I'm not sure I want to after what you told. īThen I might realise that my GeForce isn't the best card in the world! LOL

I'm looking forward to hear how this thing overclocks. :)

BTW Did it have cooling on the RAM's?

the ram didnt have cooling however i was able to get the ramdac to 450mhz (with the core at 200), now im trying to get the core and the ram in harmony at the highest speed together....it needs better cooling though....ill porbably cut up and lap my old slot 1 heatsink to make ram sinks and the middle will have a 60mm 9cfm fan(not much but still much better than what it is right now)....actually the 2D has improved with the driver and while it still isnt ATI or Matrox quality you wont be able to tell the difference unless looking at high detail pics(still not much)...it doest make too much difference to me as im one of those people who cant tell the difference between sony and bose ...the highest 3dmark score gotten while overclocking is 3014(with artifacts) and 2970(stable)......

I get 6535 points in 3DMark 2000 default setting with my GeForce 2 MX.
Is that enough?
Core @243MHz, Memory @210MHz
Everything rock stable in many weeks. :)
