I've got a Tyan Trinity 400 (S1854) motherboard, with a PIII 600 coppermine CPU, with the multiplier loked a 6 (6*100). When I raise the FSB speed even one notch, from 100MHz to 107MHz, I fail to post miserably. It's a decent cooler on the CPU, and I have excellent case cooling.
I've flashed the lastest BIOS revision, and have all the latest drivers for everything else. Why won't the d*&$ thing post?????

I'm thinking that I was really lucky when Oced a P/// 650E cB0 slot1 directly to 866Mhz without any burn-in or VCore increase and with a standard Secc2 cooler with 2 Fans!
Well, the classic way to go are rising the Vcore at the rated speed for a while, and after try rising the Fsb :(

Ahh. Now I never thought on the voltage thing.......

I hope that you will gain a good OC @133Mhz of Fsb,
Good Luck!

Just a thought; what if there's some crappy card in that system that doesn't even like a 35Mhz PCI speed? You can find out by trying to boot with just your AGP card and a single stick of RAM, and if succesfull start adding cards one by one. Also try combinations of your RAM sticks in different RAM slots... We WILL make that thing boot at at least 112FSB !!! :P

I've had a 600E running at 800 from day one. It's been running almost a year now with no problems. Except for the first day when I saw that 65c temp! I quickly removed that thermal insulating tape that comes from the factory (they call it heat transfer tape, don't believe it) and replaced it with Arctic Silver and a real heatsink. I had it to 900 but it would lock up eventually. Rock solid at 800. If you just can't get even one notch fsb over stock you have hardware problems somewhere. Try booting with just video and see what happens. If you have a pci video card try that. PCI cards are preferable for o/c than agp because of the way most motherboards handle the bus speed divider. My new Elsa agp board won't even post at 900 but my old Velocity 128 runs with anything I throw at it. Or it could be you have a defective mobo. Keep at it and good luck!

Cheers peeps, but I have a bigger problem....
The motherboard doesn't support voltage changes (and it's a socket370)

The Tyan Trinity 400 is a nice board but it does have it`s flaws like one no way but the pin wrap trick to increase Vcore. I know this cause I used to ownmone. But gave it to a friend for nothing. I hope you have better luck with that board then I did.

Don't plan to have it for much longer. Going to give a chunk of money to Mr Epox. And Mr Athlon........
