I bought T:V on Wednesday and just started having problems last night. For the first day and a half all I did was play the single player mode (surprisingly good for Tribes) and just last night tried to play online. My problem is that when I go to join a game it says my product key is already in use. I bought this game fair & square, so what's goin on? I don't see why/how anyone else would have my key. I downloaded the first update and everything, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

sounds like maybe someone bought it at the store before you. They took it home, and took it out of the box very carefully. Then installed and copied it and put it back in the box just as carefully to make it seem as if it was never opened. Then they returned it. Then you bought it. Happens sometimes. I always check the edges of any software box before I buy it just because of that. When working at Bestbuy and Circuit City for years I can't tell you how many punks I caught doing that. They get by some of the dumber people that give it a cursory glance. Which is why they do it.

Then again, someone could have a keygen f somesort and randomly got your key generated first and used it.

Either way, I'd give them a call or take it back because it IS a defective product and try to swap it out for one of the exact same thing. No place has a problem with returning opened software as long as it is for the same item.
