Based from the photos I've seen of this heatsink, there's very little or no space at all between the heatsink and the fan.

I've read in some sites/forums that having some space between the heatsink and the fan, this would lessen the noise. SO I though of putting some washers to raise the fan a bit.

Also, the shroud design of the PAL6035 is said to have beneficial effects on the heatsink. Since, the Swiftech doesn't have one, I thought of putting some tape around the heatsink to simulate the shroud.

Any comments/suggestions? Thanks :)

I agree with you about the thin spacers between the Hs and the fan for less noise, but for the rest, well, for the cost of this Cooler I suppose that this tests was just made by Swiftech, or better, I hope ;)
