not really seeing you can get one new on newegg http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-116-176&depa=1 for 215$. So his buy it now things is over priced. If you cna get it at 150$ then I'd say its worth it but I doubt it. And he posted nothing about its overclockability, that would have been nice

well... being that its used, and garuanteed not to be DOA, and it does include a decent $30-$40 HSF.... in terms of overclock-ability, Why can't i just use the cpu database and this forum as a guide?

if you read it you only get the heatsink if you use the "buy it now feature" for 215, the price you can get it at newegg, without a heatsink, or drop 222$ and get it with the stock heatsink. so to recap for 255$ you can get a new cpu from newegg and a good heatsink

As per the discussion of the Sl7e5 Vs Sl7kc war.... From newegg, i have a chance of getting something other then an sl7e5, and this is garuanteed..... but i see where you are comming from. Thanks for your advice, i'll have to ponder it a little longer.

SL7E5 Costa Rica are _THE_ overclocking chips. I would snatch that up in an instant 3.2 are about $280-300 in the UK

ok, but the sl7b8 can use the 14x multiplier on the asus boards.... so wouldn't that be better for overclocking?

IT IS NOT WORTH IT. There is $8 shipping, which nobody is factoring in. Why is he selling it? Because it overclocks like a dog? He could easilly be lying. If it overclocked well, there is no reason for him not to say so. From newegg, the chip might be better or worse, but chances are it will be better. Plus shipping is $1 and not $8. The price will go up from the current.

What if it was never overclocked? Maybe he's running it on an intel mother board? *chuckle*
