I'm new to this team...
I've got my machine now crunching at @ 1WU in 6Hrs.

I'll be installing Seti on my PC at work Tomorrow!!!
Hey...Gotta have a screen saver anyway..RIGHT!!!

Anyway...
I've read here about these topics...

Will any of them help me CRUNCH FASTER or Link my computes together for more work done per hour??
What are they??


My "Home" Systems are Networked through a router/Switch 100 Base.

Into a cable "Modem" so I'm always "online" but protected by my router's firewall...(NICE FEATURE!!!!!)

AMD Thunderbird 1.4 GHZ @ 1.575 GHZ 150MHZ FSB *10.5

anything that you can think of to help CRUNCH faster would be GREAT!!!!

Do this to every puter. Here are the direct downloads you need Windows CLC (ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/setiathome/setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe), Seti Spy (http://pages.tca.net/roelof/setispy/SetiSpy.exe), Seti Driver (http://www.wakeassoc.com/setidriver/SETIDriver.zip) and here are the instructions (http://overclockers.ws/seti/Instr1.htm) you need to follow to get them up and running. This is anywhere form 5%-50% faster than the screen saver, depending on how you have the saver configured. VNC is a nice program that you can remotly access your other computers through your network.

Welcome to the team, and I was using the screensaver until I saw the info you have just been given above. It increased my times in leaps and bounds!

Welcome to the Team. Of the progs that you listed the only one that will help you to crunch WU's faster is the CLC. Running the GUI version is slower than the CLC.
