I'm about to put my computer in the deep freeze to lower the ambient temp (which is somewhat of an understatement.) I have thought about all the ramifications of what I'm about to do, but I wanted to know if anyone else has done this before. I think this is the only form of supercooling that will not result in a condensation problem because the coils are colder then the pc and take all the condensation. As long as I slowly warm the PC when I bring it out of the deep freeze, there shouldn't be a condensation problem.
but then what about when your pc is turned off. You would have to leave the fridge on and that will waste a lot fo electricity and make your cpu too cold (if there is such a thing):D

Has anyone ever considered just putting their PC in a refrigerator or building the pc in a small fridge ? A small fridge ( a very small one ) is about the size of a server case ? This would solve all condensation problems. It would cool the entire machine. The drives, the chips, the PS and the ram. As I see it all you need to do is drill a few holes for cables. It would be very cost effective.

ps : WOW before I got this posted there are pic posted ! Thats close to what I am talking about. I would just leave the entire setup in the fridge without making a heatsink / evaporator for the CPU.
