Im looking for a chevette hc, and i know that autozone or napa would have the best prices, but i have a few qs
1. what is the OD of the lines (i plan on using 1/2 id tubing)
2. what is it made from alu, or copper(i highly doubt copper for the price tho)
3. what year chevette? that one i have no clue on
what im planing is:
Swiftech MCW6002-P
Swiftech MCW20-P
the chevette hc
Swiftech MCP650
tygon
and the danger den fill port it would look real nice on the top of my case
2x120 fans and such too

one more question slightly off toppic tho. is it worth blocking my x800? i plan on trying the mod to xt, but if i wc it then the ram doesnt have anything and id have to get sinks

'86 chevette (4 Cylinders 098 C 1.6L 2BL) has the typical brass and copper construction (no aluminum in contact with water).
the GDI number is 399069
the core is usually about 6-1/8 x 6-3/8 x 2" with a 5/8" inlet and a 3/4" outlet.
Note that those dimension are just for the core so the overall dimensions are likely about 7-1/2" x 6-3/8' x 2"

due to the size of the outlet, you have to get some type of adapter mounted between it and the tubing unless you have tubing that has more stretch than most known to man. A couple version have a bell shape at the end of the 3/4" tube that can be cut off - that leaves you with a tube that is close to 5/8" - if you get that kind, 1/2" ID clearflex or tygon should go over it with a little effort.

Before you buy an HC check the Clearance section at dtekcustoms.com. They list items that have blemishes, especially rads, and sell them for approximately the same price or cheaper then a HC, and will attach the barbs for you.
