Hey.
Say I have a program (in this instance WINAMP) running. Ok, a little "box" showing the words "winamp" will be in my taskbar.

Assuming I have the program "minimized".......the only thing showing will be that "box" in the taskbar.

If I click on that box, the program magicaly "re-appears" in full mode. IE, it is no longer minimized.

Everyone knows this. Ok, here is where help is needed, in 2 parts.

1) I would like to know how........when I minimize something for it to NOT show up as a "box" in the task bar. I want it to disappear into the "background" with no trace of it in the taskbar.

2) If this is possible, HOW would you get it "recalled" assuming #1 is possible?

3) I realize SOME programs have an option for this. Something like "hide this program in the startup/taskbar tray"
The program I am talking about does not have this option. And I am not talking about winamp. Just using that as an example.

Thank you all. :)

Hope this is what you're looking for. This program allows you to hide the program name from task bar, but so the program still runs.

if that works, seems like you could get it back with alt tab

Usein your example, winamp, you can set in the options where to put it when minimized, you can set task bar tray or not at all.
