hey all... i was wondering what's a decent/good antivirus that'll
actually run in safemode and remove viri/trojans..
i use AVG but it doesn't work in safe mode, and stinger only does so much...

also, there appears to be SEVERAL system files infected, if i remove them, will i have to reinstall XP? or is it smart enough to just install those files?

thanks,
mai0f

what about my system files? there are several infected,
if i delete them will i have to reinstall XP, or is windows smart enough to just replace those files after i delete them?

thanks,

Open a Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter...

sfc /scannow

The System File Checker will scan all the protected system files, and should restore the corrupted files with the correct ones.
