I get about 20 sec. per frame slower with IE open, and 40 sec./frame slower with IE and Winamp.

Yeah. I noticed the difference as well. It didn't matter so much that IE was open as it did that I was actively using the system. When you are using the system FAH takes a back seat to hwatever else it is that you are doing so that it doesn't mess you up at all. I watched it once and it didn't take much for fah to go from 100% to 30% and then back up again.

I was watching the taskmanager in win2k on my laptop and that's how I knew what was using what. W2kpro has some pretty nifty features that win98/me don't, but it folds slower. I'll look into wintop for my main box. It would be interesting to see that. Thanks.

I've noticed about a 1min decrease in frame time, give-or-take, when my pc's have been sitting for a while. Thanks for the tip on Wintop Would71..gonna check it out. Found a link here (http://newlife-win98.server101.com/wintop_info.htm).

Takes me about 3 minutes a frame normally and 30 minutes a frame while playing CS.
