I am currently trying to burn in my AMD K6-2 450@475 (the one in my sig). I now have it at 2.5v, but the comp isn't stable. Should I increase the voltage to 2.6v, even though I still have the default crappy hsf ? Or burn in at 2.5 and make it more stable that way ?
BTW, I am using Seti@home as a burn-in program. I touched the HSF while it's crunching, and it really was hot ! Should I change it with a better one if I can't keep my fingers on it more than 10 to 15 seconds ?
Thanks !
I always do "burning in" at default cpu speed.

You should be able to get higher, just grab a generick hsf for an athlon cpu and slap in on the k6-2, you can find one for like 6-7 $.
that sounds pretty hot! i wouldn't run it at a higher vcore untill you get better cooling.

hmmm with decent hsf you can get that 450 to 550 easily....i ran mine at 550 for almost a year even got 600 a few times but it wasnt 100% stable.
