Hey everyone, I searched around on the forums and couldn't find any information on how to do this.
What I want to do is create ISO images of my CD's (system CD's) and store them on my backup harddrive, so if the original CD gets damaged, I can just burn a new one from the ISO.
How would I go about creating an ISO image of a CD? How does that work? Thanks!!

Download Alcohol 120%. Thats what I use, and I love it.

Depends on the software (e.g. Alcohol) you're using. Funny question, because when I first started using this kind of software making ISOs was easy but actually burning them to CD required some tricky navigation through the menus.

Someone just told me that I can use Nero to make ISO's is this true? Because I have Nero 6 Ultra, but I cannot figure out how to make an ISO with this program. The Nero site tells me that I have to create a data CD first, and then save that data CD as an ISO. I don't want to go through this every time.

Data CD, burn, make, image, copy, ISO, create... unfortunately Nero is inconsistent in its terms. Just tell Nero you want to make a CD. Odds are it will in fact take you through the steps of "burning" an ISO file to HD  .
