I have a quick question on removing heat spreaders. I have searched the forums for this and there are many post on how to do this, so I did on one of my sticks of HyperX 3200. In all these post they say just pull off the clips and then gently pry the heat spreaders away from the memory, well this worked fine but I kind of scratched the spreader getting off the clips. I want to remove it on my other stick but with out the scratching part so what is the best way to get those clips off with out being able to notice they were removed.

I used a precision screw driver to get right under the clip and gently pry it up. Once you have a bit more clearace, put something between the screw driver and the heat spreader and pry it off some more. Just be careful.

Yep, try freezing them first. Also, you could try using dental floss
instead of a screwdriver.
Good luck. :)
