My hard drive with the boot sector just failed a SMART test, so the drive is on its way out. Windows XP is actually installed on a different disk though. Is there any program out there that can copy the data from the bad disk's boot sector to the boot sector of another disk?

i think if you hook the drive that has windows xp installed on it up as the primary hard drive and then boot off the windows xp cd you can go into the recovery console and when you get to a boot prompt type fixmbr and that should build a boot sector on that drive to boot windows from.
