Just wondering how much Stepping AYHJA will do for me.....anyone know how much more overclockable these are than just the standard 1.4ghz.
I've seen that the average overclock speed of the AYHJA-Y (1333Mhz) was around 1666Mhz(According to AthlonOC). I don't know about the 1.4Ghz though, well that's just to give you an idea how high it can go.;)
Why don't you take a look at the CPU database to find out,
here's what I saw:
(taken from the CPU database)
Total Entries in Database for T Bird 1400 - 89
Average overclocked speed - 1585 Mhz
note: most of them were AYHJA-Y

I think the AYHJA core is not different to the AXIA. the letter on the third line seems to be the difference - the Y.
Technicaly from what ive read if you have a AYHJA - Y you could reach the moon on that chip ( like 1750).
I also know of a rocket scientist who put a shim on the new 1.4 with those specs for EXTRA prortection and after turning it on for the first time, within 5 seconds it was game over as it left a space between the HSF and the core.:D

I'd say 1500-1600 is a safe bet with most 1400 cpus, mine's got to 1600 absolutely rock solid at 1.85V, with 37.7C being the highest temp under full load I've seen so far :)
I'd like to volt mod my KG7-RAID when it gets here, and with a burn-in as well hopefully get to around 1700. That may just be wishful thinking though - extra voltage doesn't always guarantee a higher overclock.

hey , I thought this may help you a little in you decision
http://www.athlonoc.com/stepping2.php
that is the athlon stepping codes and gives a pretty good Idea of what to expect out of the chips.
