Alright boys n girls, Come get your new Beta 1019 Bios....

P4C800-E DX Beta 1019.003
P4C800 DX Beta 1019.001
P4C800 (Plain) Beta 1019.003

The bios files already includes afudos. Once the files are extracted to floppy just rename the rom file to P4C800D19.ROM/P4C800ED19.ROM/P4C80019.ROM and flash away!!!

IDE Configration Settings for: (IDE Detect Time) Quick or Normal.....(The quick boot finally fixes the long boot up process from the past bioses)

-Bios files are acquired through Asus German FTP file..........
-Performance wise no increase and no decrease but stable
-Fixed slow boot process
-Maybe even boot faster than the older bioses

Regards,
Vflux

NP Jaydog, Just try staying with 1018 final for now......

hmm...I have the 1014 still, with a 3.0C @ 3.7ghz, but it can do up to 4.05 or so with this bios on air (4.05 isnt stable, but I can run things like AIM on it). Is it worth upgrading to a newer one, or just stick with this.

Achilles17, Stay with 1014 or 1011 if you're clocking northwood. They are the most stable bios i have tried when I had my 2.6C....

Vio1, Try using 1018 Final or 1017 for prescott.

ok, so the benefits for 1018 and 1019 are only for prescotts basicly? I guess the minor things they would help would be outweighed by the worse fsb. Oh well.

With the newer bios it will allow you to boot from a flash disk. I first noticed it with 1018 but maybe it was earlier. for a pressy I would stick with 1018 final

I download the newest bios 1019.004 and flashed it just now, I found there is new option in the bios in the IDE configuration. IDE detect QUICK OR NORMAL

I couldnt agree more.. The 1019 bioses are fast but i was having divider issues like I used to while i was using 1015/1016/1019...It seems that the fast boot up deminishes the divider fix. :D 1018/1017 Final IMO are the stuff made to clock pressy steady and higher.
