I'd have to wade through my old games, some (Maybe not so kewl:p ) games that come to mind:
Unreal Tournament (GOTY).
Rally Championship.
Sega Rally Championship.
Hidden & Dangerous (Free LEGAL H&D Deluxe download here (http://gigex1.com/L?T=H&ST=L&PID=0050900032&source=ghell&gameid=2016)(Full Game 264.1 MB), great game!!
Screamer 2 (Not sure about the max. number of players, I believe it's 4....but you'd have to play split screen).
NFS4 "Road Challenge" should run fine, not sure about 5 "Porsche Unleashed" (Also known as "Porsche 2000").

Carmageddon is great fun on a LAN with at least 4 nodes.

Quake 1 is great fun, and it'll play v. well on the systems you're putting together. We still play it at LANs, even on our k-r4d l337 b0xx0rz :)
There's also lots of great mods for it, such as Team Fortress, and Rocket Arena.
