nothing wrong with setting up wedo's *wonderful* service to "manual" instead of auto, right? recently I am playing a lot of D3 and i don't want to have to go into services.msc just to stop to consoles. Thanks!

Wedo made a batch script to stop and start the service from a shortcut, if you put it on manual I don't think it will start on system startup.

Nothing wrong with it, it will not start on system startup however. If you still want to fold it doesn't buy you anything setting it to manual, you will still need to start it manually whenever you want it to run. IMHO you are better off leaving it on automatic and stopping it when you don't want it running. A simple 1 line bat file can be used to start and stop the service so its not as much of a hassle.

bahahahaha, just started it, off wedos old 5.00 release. i got more 107 point D gromacs which went very quickly on this machine. first two units... 128MB memory each... woah! never had any that big before, and i have run bigpackets before!

edit: logstats back in, 320 points each!!!

make 2 files with notepad, save them as .bat files

#1 to stop FAH, add this single line to one of the .bat files:
"sc stop FAH"

#2 to start FAH, add this single line to another one of the .bat files:
"sc start FAH"

(remove the quotes, btw)

I've got both of you beat! 21:58 with my AMD 2800 at stock speed, with 768 MB PC3200 DDR, on my DFI ultra infinity :)

It will only take me 33 hours to finish all 100 frames for 320 points :)

holy cow!!! that is insane. Just clocked my chip up to 3.8 for fun and it shaved it down to about 25:30, the clock can go higher, and it turns out that if you run 1 instance on an ht it will be faster than running 2 of the same. but that is really awesome for a 2800, must be making a ton of points for you!
