Ok guys. i usually run 2 PSUs in my case. A 430watt for the dual cpu and a 400watt PSU for powering fans, hard drives etc...

Well last friday the 430watt PSU that i had to buy with my mobo blew....scary! but my beloved computer lived right through it.

So i was borrowing a 450watt psu from a friend, using this generic junker that came with my steel case (ebay, 5$ case, 20 bucks shipping...old ATX/AT case)...

So today i go to a computer show hoping to find a new PSU....well i did....BIG ONE too...650watt iBest psu...brand name may not be well known, but its HEAVY....I checked out the amp ratings on the sides...it was either this, or some cheapo 500watt that didnt hold a candle to this...it looked like a psu out of some generic case...this came inbox n such...the ratings are:
3.3V @ 42amps
5V @ 48amps
12V @ 28amps
-5V @ .8amps
-12V @ 1amp
+5sb @ 5amps

i mite be off on thte amps by alittle...its up in my room right now...

itsa heavy duty PSU..i havent even started it up yet...Theres a buttload of molex connectors....my setup is 3 HDD's, 2CDROMs, 2 AMD 1.2ghz CPU's, a 128mb sis xabre agp on dual monitors, 512DDR ECC server ram...2 80mm LED fans, a 120mm LED fan, a neon, floppy, and a SCSI tape drive im messing with....

So now with the 650watt psu as the main, and the 430watt psu as secondary, im wondering, either do i need the second PSU, OR , if i keep it or get a smaller junker one (200watts or so) what sould be on the main and what should be on the secondary? or should i just keep the 2 psus and set up the devices to each one ? i was thinking atleast have the 2 system HDD's (linux/windows) and fans on the 650 while the storage, CDROMs and floppy are on the second....in case my switch fails or something stupid

Id like to keep the 650 as the main on my mobo ...i dont think ill ever have voltage issues with this thing

Thanks in advance guys
