my computer is now having lockups when i make it WORK.
i dont mean play a game, or prime, or anything like that...whne i really mke it work it will just lock.

Example: Last night i was burning a cd, listening to mp3's, downloading, and on aim.

My downloading program utalizes multiple download sites for the same file, to improve speed...but its a rather hog of resource. MBM5, among other things, were running. Locked up about half way through the cd

Night before, lisening to mp3s, palying NEED FOR SPPED UNDERGROUND, downloading, ect...locked up in the stupid preview things,

Night before that, locked up in the game, first race.

Things to note: CPU tep wasnt more than 45C in any of these cases, STOCK SPEED
ram is at STOCK SPEED, and extra loose timings.
the only conclusion i can come to is my NB is overheating...pobably due to the passive cooler (probably supposed to use cu exaust), watercooling (which made my case airflow much much lower) and overworking.

If im just playing need for speed it will go for 5 hours without a problem...it could be a cnflict with the game and my sound, but it froze during a cd burn last night, so im thinking its a heat problem.

Suggestions?

Crack the side panel off and put a small desk fan blowing towards it, then try things that made it lock up before.

What about power? Could it be you PSU?

The other thing I would check is your hard drive. Mine would randomly lockup when the power connection was loose. I listened for it restarting over and over again...

my hard drives are fine, not overheating and all cables are tight.
Ill try the desk fan, thast a good idea....just gotta find the time! i usually use my comp in the middle of the night so it has to be quiet (i do 12-14 hour days now, and they start at 9 in the morning...my the time im home everyone is far asleep)

my psu is a great performer, shouldnt be any problems. Kept it solid at 223X11 for a while, but my stuff was overheating...now im at stock so i dont htink its that.
