Hyperram 512mb DC kit $88 + free shipping http://www.komusa.com/51kit2pc40du2.html

All these deals are from Komusa, but I don't necessarily have to purchase my ram from them. However, I wasn't able to find any deals quite this good anywhere else...

Suggestions and comments wanted!

have you had any experiences with this ram? im also looking into it now for my intel system. so if anyone knows more than i please post about this ram!

I've got a pair of Komusa ADATA PC4200 512mb sticks that will pass memtest at 292 (DDR 584) in 1:1 mode at 2.85v. I know it's good stuff, I'm just looking for less expensive and less "performance specific" options. PC3200 is a requirement, CAS 2.5 would be preferred, but a tiny pricetag will win. :)

I run ordinary crucial, not ballistix, at 2.5-2-2-2-whatever number I want and I find the price is reasonable, given crucial's record for reliability.

i doubt you can do the 2, 2, 2, 5 at 3200 speeds , that speed is listed in pc2700 ...but still ive read some pretty good reviews on them .. they are excellent overclockers ..

here are some cas 2 pc3200.. platinum kit 2, 3, 3, 6 at 2.6v rated ..

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-141-150&depa=1

now these are nice priced and definetly would be great to have a kit ..

edit: just read that the higher pc4500(ddr566) comes in 512mb 256x2 kit and they are rated 3,4,4,8 at 2.8 volts ... only $158.

I meant the last number can be a 5, 7, 11, or whatever. I think tight timings translate into real world noticable performance increases. The ballistix they make is rated for even tighter timings and overclocks more etc., but is substantially more than crucial's ordinary product. I also bumped my memory up last night. I had 2 X 256 in dual channel and last night I added a third stick of 512. With proper placement, it still runs dual channel. I wasn't expecting much of a performance increase. I was expecting only to notice a difference when working with large files, but I was wrong. Everything is faster now, even the start menu is more responsive.
