Ok so i bought sacred when it first came out, played it once and then it went on my shelf and i never played it. I saw it yesterday and was puzzled to why i hadnt installed it since i got it and remembered i was waiting for patch 1.7.
ANYWAYS, so i install it and I HAVE THESE ARTIFACTS.. i didnt have these before. NOW i figured out that if i set my AA AND AF to application preference they go away, but i get a little twitchy when the map scrolls.
Ok HERE is more of my actual post in the sacred forums. I FIGURE you guys are more inteligent. PLEASE HELP ME. Here is the link to my other post with pictures:

There was a reply at the forums.
It simply states that you cannot use AA in this game at all.
THis makes sence and is valid and proven by my friend having the same problem with a totally different system.

Yeah I have to turn it off as well or I get criss crossed black lines on the screen. No big deal to me though really, the game is beautiful even without AA/AF.
The free expansion is coming soon as well. Some people have been calling this game "Diablo 3", I don't know about that but it's definately worth playing through at least once.

its no diablo3.
But its a diablo2 clone, and its great.
That "expansion" is only free because the game is so buggy.
And that expansion is out, 140meg patch.

Yeah, that's why I said "I don't know about that but..."
As for it being a clone, well I don't really think so. Sacred graphics are much better yet it isn't as much fun as D2 for some reason. I played D2 for a couple years like it was a career but I only mess around on Sacred every now and again.
A free expansion is great consolation for the bugs that Sacred players have suffered thus far, even if it isn't huge it's still some new content. I didn't know that it was already out.
Thanks for the heads up.

d2..clone. Well i have only gotten into it recently just played a few days of it.
Ya i know what you mean with the career of d2 lol.
It was like CRACK. lol
I played it for a few years.
So far nothing has came close to it. I tried dungeon siege, got so bored of it, i tried NWN i liked it but it just wasnt the same i like to attack as soon as i click lol not watch or wait. Sacred is by far the closest i have seen and its gorgous compared to d2 graphics lol.
I was actually contemplating getting Sacred a couple of weeks back. I know that PC Gamer gave it a mid 80's score when they rated it. Supposed to be pretty fun, but have a few minor quirks that detract from the gameplay. Anyways, is it worth the $20 price tag on it?

Yeah, with the 1.7 patch to fix a lot of problems and the free expansion you will definately get $20 worth out of it. Especially if you were a fan of Diablo and Diablo 2 or Dungeon Siege, Bladur's Gate.
It has a large seamless gaming landscape, a main story that makes it's way through 5 acts and countless side quests given by various NPC's. Max level is 206 I believe, there are tons of items and sets as well as quite a bit of skills.
You can choose from Gladiator, Seraphim (Angel), Dark Elf, Vampiress, Battle Mage and Wood Elf each with their own skills, regrettably some of which are clones of other skills with just a different name for each class.
Anyways I'll quit writing you a review and just say you'll get your $20 worth.
