I have a linux box for a router and have a linksys hub. I would like to replace the hub with a switch what should I get?

Pretty much any 10/100 switch would be okay.

I agree.

If it's a true switch then about any of them will be fine.

D-link has some desktop switches w/ auto neg. 10/100 and very affordable.

Heres a link to their 5 port:
http://www.dlink.com/products/switches/dss5plus/

And heres a link to that same switch on buy.com:

$53 aint too shabby.

I currently have 7 D-link switches in my network ranging from the 8 port desktop to the managed 24 port rack mounts. I am very happy with all of them, and they were a great price performance deal.

Oh yeah, and what was even cooler when I bought mine...

They were running a promo at the time I didnt know about and I opened up an extra box that had 35 of their NIC's in it FREE. Worth $17 a piece and I was needing to order some to replace the old ISA in half of the systems :D Nice timing

I second the Dlink switch pimp. They make good inexpensive products and have pretty decent tech support.
