CoolPlex Reservoir Question

I have a Coolplex 1/2" barbed reservoir, one of the in/outlet connections has a pipe extenting halfway into the reservoir. Should this be the inlet or outlet side? It was the last one in store so I didn't get any instruction leaflet with it. It will be hooked up with an all Swiftech system tonight. I'm planning on the following loop; reservoir>pump>radiator>cpu>chipset>gpu...

Just a guess, I would use the barb with a tube as an inlet, that would make the outlet closer to the bottom and less likley to get bubbles in it. neat res you got.
